This leading consultancy and Gold Alliance SAS partner is looking for a SAS Modeller to deliver leading edge expertise in modelling techniques and be able to deliver end to end modelling/analytics projects whilst ensuring that high level knowledge and expertise is spread throughout the team.

This is a client-facing role that will see you working closely with Investment Banks and leading financial services brands building statistical models (logistic regression, clustering etc).

Tasks include:

1: Client Deliverables - You will use a variety of data mining & statistical modelling techniques to deliver insights that improve clients businesses. You will have access to some of the largest customer transaction databases in the world, combined with market research & contextual data. Working closely with Client Leaders you will help clients optimise their product range, develop powerful customer contact strategies, understand impact of promotional decisions & measure effectiveness of advertising.

2: Research & Development - continually identifying new opportunities to broaden overall analytic capabilities.

Required skills:

Strong analytical skills in SAS

  • Statistics qualification/background, in particular knowledge of:-
  • Test vs Control analytics
  • Experimental Design (Randomised TvC)
  • Sample Size Estimation
  • T-Tests
  • Significance Testing & Confidence Levels
  • Bonus if you have modelling experience (CHAID and/or Regression modelling)

Academically, you must have a degree / Msc in a statistical discipline. This will be matched by experience in financial marketing data interpretation using SAS and ability to explain the benefits this analysis can bring. Knowledge of advanced SAS techniques such as macros. Knowledge of advanced Excel such as VBA programming. Interest in marketing. Interest in human behaviour. Experience building statistical models (logistic regression, clustering etc). Experience of market research design & interpretation of findings. Excellent communication skills are a must.
