SAS Analyst / Developer
SAS Analyst / Developer (Base SAS 9 SAS App Dev Studio ETL Studio SAS Enterprise Guide etc) - My client is a Gold Alliance SAS Partnered pan-European consultancy firm Working for them (aligned to their regional HQ in Edinburgh) will involve you being part of a strategic SAS solution team on site with a number of predominantly Edinburgh / Glasgow corridor-based clients (traditionally banking / financial services, utilities, marketing, pharma sectors). You can expect to move between client / industry / technical architecture always using your particular experience to deliver whatever SAS-based solution they require. A very rewarding lifestyle, but you must have the right mentality to apply yourself to 3 or 4 completely different projects within any 12 month period.

Experience/Qualifications:
Consultants will have an in depth exposure/experience of SAS. Experience of building and implementing SAS Data warehouses and/or using SAS for Analysis, an understanding of systems development methodologies and an awareness of project management principles would be beneficial.
A Computer/Maths/Statistics/Operational Research, or a Business based degree is an advantage.
All Consultants will be required to travel and work on clients sites therefore mobility and flexibility are essential. Good client facing and communication skills, the ability to work independently and commercial awareness are also required.

Core Technical Skills:
- Be seen as a SAS expert in technical areas in addition to Base SAS e.g SAS App Dev Studio, ETL Studio etc
- Experience of using SAS on a variety of cross-platform computing environments e.g. UNIX, MVS, PC
- Experience of accessing a variety of data sources from within SAS
- Desired: experience of query and analytical tools, relational database use and design, data warehousing concepts and design
