Cognos BI Consultant
BI Consultant / Cognos 8 Business Intelligence Consultant: A rewarding, challenging opportunity exists with this market leading BI consultancy for an experienced client facing consultant demonstrating strong commercial Cognos 8 experience (Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Installation, Configuration, Security, Framework Manager). In addition, the ideal candidate will boast TM1, financial planning and Oracle 10g/11g – PL/SQL (including some basic DBA experience). Exposure to Informatica Powercentre v8 would be welcome. You will be competent at ETL and Data Warehouse design / build. MS SQL Server 2005 / 08, SISS / SSAS / SSRS and Hyperion Essbase experience would be a benefit.
You will be part of the small, but focused team tasked with ensuring that their clients (typically from the banking, telecoms, or utilities sectors) are supported and that their business units have secure, robust systems which add value and underpin the core business needs.
The day to day role will involve data extraction, data development, report development, development support, executive dashboard development/support and all required documentation.
You will also need to be an excellent communicator as the role requires user interaction at all levels.
