Our client is a leading consultancy specialising in business intelligence software, helping deliver the breakthrough technology companies need to transform the way they do business.
The Role:
We are looking for a Customer Support Consultant to join their Professional Services Team with specific knowledge and experience of supporting, installing and implementing Business Intelligence software on multi-tier platforms including UNIX, Windows and Mainframe. This role also requires solid knowledge and experience of working on mid-tier architecture/ platforms and of OLAP, specifically SAS.
Successful candidates will provide the highest quality telephone technical support to customers and provide onsite support where appropriate. Working alongside Technical Account Managers you will be responsible for delivering a proactive and professional service, occasionally leading technical teams in support of strategic clients as part of the Customer Engagement Team. In-depth knowledge of SAS systems as well as SAS OLAP is mandatory.
Experience of Business Intelligence systems including, installing, configuring and supporting web based applications as well as excellent programming experience, specifically SAS, ideally 9.2, are required for this role.
Specific knowledge and experience of a combination of any or all of the following would be expected: Mid Tier Solutions - BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, Webdav, Webservers, JBOSS, Java, Xythos, Security authentication, OLAP cubes and Databases, i.e. Oracle RDBMS and SQL. Experience of utilising remote access tools, i.e. Web-ex and/or VPN would also be helpful
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a solid background in customer support and be confident in handling high profile projects. Additionally technical certifications, i.e. ITIL, MCSE, Solaris/AIX/LINUX/Weblogic/Websphere and an IT or Maths/Stats/Physics/Engineering Degree would also be of benefit.
