Support Consultant – Analytics/SAS
Our client is a leading consultancy specialising in business intelligence software, helping deliver the breakthrough technology companies need to transform the way they do business.
The Role:
We are looking for a Customer Support Consultant to join their Professional Services Team with specific knowledge and experience of administering and/or installing, configuring and supporting Analytics software on multi-tier platforms including UNIX, Windows and Mainframe, ideally having worked within anyone of the following environments – Banking, Insurance, Government or Pharmaceutical.
Successful candidates will provide the highest quality telephone and on-site technical support to customers, working alongside Technical Account Managers to support strategic clients as part of the Customer Engagement Team. In-depth knowledge of SAS would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Candidates will be also able to demonstrate a solid background in customer support and be confident in handling high profile projects.
Knowledge and experience of a mix of any of the following would be preferable: Analytics, Statistics, Data Mining, Forecasting, Modelling and Credit Scoring. Systems experience should include, installing, configuring and supporting analytics software as well as excellent programming experience, i.e. SAS, SPSS, Minitab, Fortran, Matlab or C/C++.
Additionally technical certifications, i.e. ITIL, MCSE, and an IT or Maths/Stats/Physics /Engineering Degree would also be of benefit.
